about
COMMISSION PROCESS
- You will receive work in progress screenshots of the piece at every stage of the process.
- You are allowed up to 3 free revisions or changes in the process up until the end of the Confirmation Stage. Please note after the Concept Stage, these must be minor changes or else a revision fee will be required in order to make these changes.
- Please note that the time it takes to complete each commission will vary depending on the commission type and complexity. (Exceptions being rush orders; 1 week turn arounds)
- Once I accept your commission, I will provide a rough estimate of how long each commission will take to complete, and will contact you with further information.Concept Stage (Sketch)
- At this stage, I will send you general sketches or concepts of the piece. The amount of sketches or concept pieces you receive will vary depending on the type of work you commissioned.
- After looking over the concepts, you will decide which piece or design we will be working on.
- You are allowed up to 3 changes to the piece or design during this time. If there are any changes after those 3 changes or extreme changes, you will be charged a revision fee.
- Color is not a part of this process. (Some concepts/sketches I provide you may include colors if they help to convey an idea, but the majority of sketches will not focus on the colors. It is normal for sketches to not include color.)Line Art Stage
- At this stage, I will start to refine the sketch and line out the piece. Any major changes requested during or after this phase will cause a price increase.
- If you have not already requested any changes in the concept stage/have not used up your 3 revisions, you may request minor changes or revisions during this process.
- For most commission types, colors will be decided once I have finished the line art and sent a screenshot of it for approval.Rendering Stage
- At this stage, I will begin to color and fully develop the artwork.
For logos and similar graphics, this is when the artwork will be vectored.
- For drawings and most assets, this is where colors and shading will be applied.
- If colors were not decided in the Line Art Stage, they will be decided on at the end of this stage.Confirmation Stage
- At this stage, the final details of the commission will be confirmed. Colors and only minor adjustments will be changed at this point.
- For logos and similar graphics, you are allowed to request to see up to 3 alternate color schemes of the piece at this stage. These 3 requests will not count as revisions, however if you require the colors of the logo/graphic to be changed after these 3 requests, you will be charged a revision fee.
- If everything is in order, I will begin the process for finalizing the commission once I receive your confirmation.Delivery
- At this stage, the commission will have been completed. I will ask for confirmation once again on the piece.
- All revisions at this stage will result in a revision fee.
- I will ask for the commissioner's email in order to send the files related to the commission.
- Unless requested otherwise, all files will be sent via email to ensure the quality of the artwork is maintained. (sending files via Discord, Twitter, or Instagram ect. May result in the images or files losing resolution)
Please note that you must pay for a commercial license in order to use any of the artwork for monetary or commercial use. Using any of the commissioned works or using any edited versions of the commissioned work outside of the licensing permissions may constitute infringement. Doing so goes against the licensing agreement.
